Today: A pictorial review

Jonah explored the Wares' house today, inside and out, including Ray's cute little convertible. What fun!

Later Jonah and I went to the neighborhood park. We mostly enjoyed our little game of "Ready? 1-2-3 Run! Stop! Turn around! Stop! Sit down!" Jonah did pretty well considering he was running in his new sandals.

After Jonah's nap I changed his diaper and he peed again. He thinks it's funny. And always says something that kinda sounds like "pee" afterward. This awareness is a good thing but if I'm not prepared it means wasting diapers and changing outfits a little more frequently than I would like. That's why he's nearly naked in this picture. Doesn't Jonah look cute in these Dutch wooden shoes? Excuse the ribs. My boy is lean, despite my efforts to get him chubbed up.

We went to the neighborhood pool late in the afternoon. We waded our feet in for a little while, but before we knew it, it was pouring! Daddy & Jonah had a great time in the pool anyway.

After supper, Jonah enjoyed hamming it up. He was immitating our laughter by throwing his head back while leaning against the furniture.

At bath time Jonah bailed and did some spontaneous nude posing in the family room.

Overall, it was a good day. After his bath, Jonah went to bed at 7pm central time... he has officially changed time zones!! Hopefully that means he won't be up until 7am.

Good night!

  • vacations take on a whole new dimension when there are children, eh?! we also started the kids traveling young. . they do get used to it and though its def. more tiring traveling with kids, its so great to see their reactions to new sights and experiences!!

  • This is awesome! Keep the pictures coming so I don't miss you guys as bad! :)

Regardless of the wicked heat, and now these torrential rains and flooding, it has been a pretty incredible summer! It's awesome that Jonah's been able to experience so much summertime fun! Wish I was there with you! :)
