Late night cruising

We thought we had conquered Jonah's sleep, but a week or two later, he was off track again. This may have had to do with an exciting trip to Oshawa followed by downhere's visit to Cambridge. He definitely gets excited about things and doesn't want to miss anything... he's like his father!

Anyway, I was really looking forward to the time change because it would mean that the clock would say 7am when Jonah got up at 6am. However, about two days before the time change, Jonah started getting up at 5am! This means he wakes up, gets out of the playpen, grabs his milk from the small fridge, and comes to get in bed with me. But don't be mistaken. He NEVER goes back to sleep, especially not in our bed. I've been SO tired!

I have a plan for this week. For a full week, I will put Jonah to bed at 12:30pm for his one nap of the day. I will put him to bed at 7:30pm. We'll see what happens! If he wakes up before 6:30, he's going straight back to bed. Last night he was alseep at 8:15pm and up for the morning at 6:50am. (Not bad, provided his afternoon nap is 2 hours long. He has managed to pull that off a couple of times lately.) However, there's a catch!

Last night was one of the most "entertaining" nights I've had in a little while though. I woke up to the sound of Jonah's voice and the fridge door opening or closing. I waited, but he never came into my room. I checked the clock. It was 2:00am!!!!!! So, I got out of bed and in the near pitch black I see Jonah "driving" his purple car! I gather his things and put him in his crib. Then I remembered I had heard the fridge and figured I better make sure his milk is IN the fridge, and not sitting out on the floor somewhere. The milk WAS in the fridge. But it was more than half gone!

I'm not sure how long Jonah was up last night doing some late night cruising! At least he put his milk back in the fridge!
