I'm a super Mom, but I'm no Supermom!

The last few weeks

We celebrated my Dad's birthday! Above my Mom is the chandelier Glenn and Tim installed. There's a story there, involving me seeing smoke and electricity crawl down the chain. It all worked out though. And they installed a storm door too! I'm proud of you, boys! I mean MEN!

Can you tell I shopped for Dad's birthday gift and Bram's dedication at the same store at the same time?! Didn't even notice the outfit similarity until they were both wearing the items!

Posing for a family shot at church after Bram's dedication. I suppose I should have coordinated my outfit with the boys?

A cake for Bram! If you look closely, you can tell that it used to say "Welcome Baby Bran" -- good thing it was a quick and easy fix! (Who names their baby Bran?!) Thanks for ordering the cake, Joan! I'm so glad you caught the typo!

Bram looked so cute and chubby after his bath,
I just had to snap this picture! He LOVES his baths!

Today Bram fell asleep while playing under his toy. I'm SURE I have a picture of Jonah doing this somewhere. I think around the same age. From here I swaddled him up and popped him in the stroller to go pick up Jonah from school. I forget - how long does this portability last?

I'm getting so many precious smiles these days!

OK, this is seriously impressive! Jonah was having a good time in Glenn's office at the white board. While writing with the marker, he copied the word on it. Definitely picture-worthy!

We have a Curious George costume and a doctor costume, and I was counting on Jonah using one of them this year for Halloween, however, Aunt Krista got it into Jonah's head that he should be a bee for Halloween. I ended up finding a friend with a costume for me to borrow - a relief! He tried it on at Grandma's house last night. I knew once he had it on that he would never put it on again. He's quite sensitive to how things feel and he's all about comfort. The costume, though cute, was rather bulky.

And I was right. For school today, he chose to be Curious George (actually, Curious orge) for the 3rd year in a row instead. He doesn't want to trick-or-treat tomorrow night. Instead he just wants to give out candy to the people who come to our door. I'm wondering if he'll be George again, or can I convince him to be a doctor instead?!

  • I love these pictures. The matching argyle shirts are great! I'm glad the cake was fixed. Nobody wants bran cake of any sort!

I love Jonah's letters too. Darcy has been really interested in letters for a few months but that has really multiplied since she started school. She's also done the copying thing a few times but her letters aren't as easy to read as Jonah's yet. Great job Jonah!

It's great to get the update. I'm glad you're all doing so well.
