Pretend money
Jonah pulled off an 11-hour night last night and then slept today from noon 'til 2. I just put him in bed at 7:30pm... Perhaps we've transitioned to pacific time? I hope so!
Jonah came to the 9am service with me this morning. He hasn't had much experience seeing Daddy playing on stage and really couldn't understand why he couldn't just go up there. While downhere was playing, Jonah reached into my pocket and pulled out some pretend money that he REALLY wanted to give to Daddy. I eventually had to take him out of the service because he was crying so much (because I wouldn't let him go see Daddy to give him the pretent money). Once he calmed down I brought him back into church. As Glenn came down off the stage/platform, Jonah yelled "Daddy! Daddy!" then leapt into his arms and yelled, "Daddy Daddy I love you Daddy". And apparently the pretend money DID make the transfer eventually.
The theme of today's service was 'serving'. It was a good reminder for me.
After Jonah's nap we visited "old friends" from Nashville -- Jesse and Marissa. They have a son, Liam, who is almost two. Jonah really enjoyed playing with all the toys in their backyard.
Tomorrow morning we head to Winthrop. It's a 3-hour drive - very scenic, but highly nauseating - at least it was last year. I'm armed with dramamine this year though, and I WILL take it if necessary!
So, I guess I'll go now - gotta get packing!

wow how cool is that. Love is so precious and we sure do see it in the Lavenders, everytime you are around one of them.
Children are so precious and it is those moments you remember for ever.
Just the other day I was over visiting Joan and Miles, I was prtending to sing the wheels on the bus goes round and round and Miles pipes up with Linda, bus.
