Happy New Year!
And a belated Merry Christmas! Where have I been for the last 2+ weeks? Good question!
Significant events & happenings:
-During the week before Christmas we had to remove Jonah's big boy bed and put the crib back up. He was getting up so much in the night and getting out of bed so much at nap time that we were ALL exhausted! We thought he was going to be upset, but he did alright, and his sleep improved greatly the following week!
-While at my parents' house the week after Christmas, Jonah started jumping out of the crib there!!! Yeah, not cool, and some sleep deprivation did ensue. We got back home today and he didn't get out of his own crib tonight. I suppose we will appreciate every 'sleepful' day and night that go by until he finally starts jumping out of his home crib! Ugh! Why can't my boy embrace sleep?!
-Glenn was a stay-at-home Dad the week before Christmas, and I worked 5 days in a row at a couple of child care centres in the area, anywhere from 4-8 hours per day. I'm hoping to do more of that in 2007, and maybe even find a full-time job!
-We had a very good and family-filled Christmas, and received more than we deserved! We were able to spend time with Glenn's entire family and my entire family, plus a BUNCH of extended family on both sides.
-We had 'professional' family photos taken with my entire family. The one of my parents' three grandchildren together is my favorite. Perhaps I'll scan it and post it eventually. I hardly took any pictures at all on my personal camera over the holiday season. Disappointing! But my brother took a bunch, so I'm hoping to get some of those.
I hope you have a wonderful 2007!
