And there she was, gone
Jonah and I flew to Nashville on Tuesday. We flew out of Buffalo because it’s significantly cheaper than flying out of Toronto. Jonah had a fun little playtime in that airport. I could have kicked myself for packing the camera in my checked baggage when he climbed into the toy Cadillac SUV. We had a layover in Baltimore, Maryland… my first time in that city… didn’t see much. A special thanks goes out to Southwest Airlines for an overall lovely experience.
Now we’re staying with “ey-mey” and “enn” (AKA Jeremy & Erin or to those who know them best, Jerin). After sitting down to a supper and breakfast all together, Jonah quickly figured out who is supposed to sit where, and this morning Glenn and I both got scolded for sitting in the wrong chairs. Jonah loves the Christmas tree and puts his arms up to Erin and says “boom boom” so she will show him the drums on the tree. He can see the moon out the windows at night too, which just about puts him over the moon.
Jonah still loves to read and memorizes stories very quickly. All we have to do is pause from time to time while reading and he fills in the blanks. The funniest error he has made so far was this morning. While reading a Bob the Builder book, Glenn read “Bob’s finally finished. The day is done. Now watch__________” and instead of saying “TV” Jonah said “hockey.” Good for a laugh, our little Canadian boy.
Last night we were listening to some of the stuff downhere tracked in the studio with Mark Heimermann a couple of weeks ago and some demos too. Oh, it’s good stuff folks. You will not be disappointed with their next album. Keep checking their blog for recording updates.
