It's a new year!

Yesterday I started 'back to work'... that is, I started taking care of my nephew, Miles. He's six months younger than Jonah and I have my hands full! I'm pretty tired physically, but things are going fairly smoothly (especially if you subtract today's experience trying to get the two of them to MOPS and back)...

Things are going to slow down in lavender blog land! How do Moms do it?!

Glenn left yesterday and we had an interesting development today - the hockey 'net' (a diaper box) and hockey balls became a stove and tomatoes... Jonah is the chef du jour! He LOVES it! Who needs a Little Tykes kitchen when you have a box with marker on it!?!?! and real hand-me-down cooking utensils from Grandma and Grandpa!?!? Jonah's NHL career has LEFT the building! Only fine cuisine from here on out!

One more thing... Over Christmas Jonah became VERY interested in Nanny's water heater. The other day Glenn and I had Jonah in the car and he kept saying this over and over again:

Nanny houf hee-ah
Daddy, hee-ah, dup!
Mommy, hee-ah, dup!
Mah, hee-ah, dup!
Nanny, hee-ah, dup!
Diah, hee-ah, dup!
Nanny houf, hee-ah
Daddy, hee-ah, dup!
Mommy, hee-ah, dup!

and he went non-stop for at least 2 minutes and also inserted his version of the ASL sign for water from time to time.
