Breaking up is hard to do
Well, we're not breaking up, but it sure felt like it last night. And no, I'm not talking about Glenn, I'm talking about my nephew Miles! Yesterday was the last day I'll be taking care of him, for at least a few months anyway, and then who knows what?
Because we have such a little amount of time now before we head to the States, I have to quickly readjust to life with one child. Last night I took the double stroller apart and put it away, then took the extra carseat out of my car and moved Jonah's to the middle. Then I gathered up some items, like Miles' basket of diaper-changing supplies and what not, and returned them to Tracy, his Mom. I felt like I was breaking up with the poor little guy, removing all evidence that he ever existed in my life or something!?!?!
But that's definitely NOT what was happening! Sorry Miles, I'm your Aunt! You're STUCK with me!
Here are a few pics taken during our final week [sniff] and I regret I forgot to bring my camera for our walk in the forest on Friday. We've been going for walks in there almost once a week for the last month or two. They love it in there and it's neat to see how much improvement they've made getting up the hill out of the forest. I taught them to say, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can..."
Yes, they do occasionally hug. Sometimes spontaneously even.
I suggested they do this one for the camera though.
The boys decided to sleep with the zoo animals. Miles lay them
all down, then both boys lay down with them.

They're so cute! I'm assuming you're moving back to Nashville. God's blessing on you.

Hey Sherri! I had to "break-up" with the kids I have been babysitting for 5 years now! Talk about HARD! Of course I'll be seeing them though, but just not 40+ hours a week anymore. It's going to be a huge adjustment for all of us. I'm getting my Master's in Elementary Edu. and my student teaching began this week and I am no longer able to babysit during the week. It was quite emotional. But I'm sure you'll be seeing Miles and his family soon! So you're headed to the States! Yay! I'm sure you will enjoy your stay in Franklin! I loved it there! Have fun and stay safe! Are you going to any of the shows with downhere? I am trying to go to at least one (maybe in MD, SC, NC, or WV.... I'm not able to come to the VA show in a few weeks because I'm in a wedding, so I have to venture to other states to see them!!!) Oh well! It's worth it!
Hey, have YOU heard anything about the music video yet? Ask Glenn for me! Tell him that the crazy obsessed downhere fan from VA wants to know. He'll know who you are talking about! Haha!
Have a great night!

Sarah!!! you're here! it's Kat.
Sherri, those are really cute pics of the boys, and you with the boys. I think you must be there now, as I write this? I'm sure that you and Jonah will feel funny for a little while, being without Miles, Tracy and all the fam.
We're all just an email away! talk soon!
