Sunday

I can hardly believe that today started this morning. It has been a long day! Jonah slept nearly 12 hours last night, and it's a good thing too, because he only slept for 45 minutes this morning, during our 4-hour drive from Winthrop to Seattle.

Once in Seattle we met up with 4 friends of Jerin, plus Bradley, a 12-year-old son of a family that downhere knows via 'the road'. We hit a Seattle Mariners baseball game, thanks to Centricity Records. We had great seats. We were in two different sections so we switched things up around the 7th inning stretch. At that point, we were behind the dugout of the visiting team - the Texas Rangers. We got Jonah to say "Hi Bat Boy" enough times that the Bat Boy threw a ball to him. Glenn caught it, gave it to Jonah, and Jonah promptly threw it back to the Bat Boy. Ooops! I guess he didn't quite get the idea. Anyway, we got the ball back. And Bradley was also given a ball and then a BAT - one used by Texas Ranger Hank Blalock. After the game we met up with the rest of Bradley's family and went out for dinnner. Jonah was asleep in the hotel room by 8pm, but could have probably gone to bed by 6pm.

Tomorrow we fly back to Nashville shortly after noon. We hope Jonah will nap as soon as we get on the plane.

It's annoying that my blogs talk a lot about Jonah's sleep. Mental note: stop blogging about Jonah's sleep.

  • LOL!!! That's the funniest thing! I hope no one was injured when Jonah tossed the ball back! It would have been great if that was caught on camera!!!

  • Well, when you're the parent of a small child (or children), sleep (yours and theirs) is a huge issue in your life!

I'm sure all the parents reading your blog can sympathize with you on the whole sleep issue.

I know my kids can tend to be miserable without enough sleep. It can be like Jekyll and Hyde before and after a nap!

  • i sympathize if i go WAY back in my memories from when the girls were very young! It was a fantastic thing when they were old enough to get up on their own and get their own food. . *on weekends of course* during the school week i had to get up!!! Your turn awaits, to sleep well, WAAAAAY down the parenting road. . we all pay our dues!!! But they're so cute, we don't mind.
