Jonah has not been forgotten!
So, you may be wondering what Jonah has been up to over the last two months!?
Well, during the week before Bram was born, he spent a couple of hours one morning with this beautiful dragonfly that was parked on our front step. We even fed him a grape and a blueberry which is seemed to very much enjoy.

Jonah continued to enjoy visits to Cambridge Midwives (AKA "Misty's house") to play with this car mountain toy.

He had his first day of school! He's doing really well, enjoying it lots and we're amazed at how exponentially his interest in numbers and letters has increased.

He is much more adventurous on swings than he used to be. His head is wet here because there is a small splash pad at the playground on our street. BONUS!

Jonah has spent all kinds of time creating and setting up all kinds of things. Here he is in his loft style bed, doing a "video chat" with Jeremy & Erin. Can you see his tinkertoy microphone? His magnadoodle is the video screen and he also has a computer keyboard in there somewhere.

Here's a close-up shot of Erin & Jeremy on the video screen. You can see Erin's baby if you look closely. Also, Jonah explained that Jeremy is smaller because he is farther away, walking down some stairs.

Backyard campfire! (Thanks Alexis!)

Jonah thought he got hit by a flanker and burnt, however, it turned out he had some kind of sting or bite on his hand. I took the opportunity to cuddle!

Hot dogs and marshmallows! (Because in order to legally have a backyard fire in our city we have to be cooking over it!)

Jonah LOVES playing Chutes & Ladders, or, Snakes & Ladders. He is very competitive though, and likes to cheat. And analyze. I managed to capture this victorious moment recently when visiting the house of my cousin's (Julia) cousin (Michelle). We visited Julia when she was in town to say good-bye -- she just moved to Nepal and you can follow her blog if you're interested.

Digging in the backyard! Jonah is quite interested in various things Glenn has going in the backyard and likes to help out when he can.

Here Jonah is playing in our kitchen sink with "bath tints" I bought him some time ago. I would never let him actually put them in the bath because they would turn the entire tub different colors. He loves mixing colors.

I know I'm supposed to get mad about Jonah drawing on the furniture, but I loved the face he drew on this table to much that I had to take a picture of it before washing it off.

Alexis has come over a bunch of times to take care of Jonah for me while I nap. One day they decided to draw pictures of dinosaurs they saw in one of Jonah's books. Below are Jonah's drawings followed by the picture in the book he was copying.

And finally, I can't believe my child is old enough to independently attempt to make his own money and write letters and words. Impressive!!

Cute! In the picture of Jonah with the Chutes and Ladders...the rug in the background. We have that same exact one in our living room! Weird!

Wow. Jonah has great fine motor skills!
I love the "video chat." My 5-year old, Ben, told me that he had to spend an hour in line to change his cell phone service to Verizon. He gets text messages from Scooby Doo every day. He has difficulty getting his messages from the others in the Scooby gang. Neither Ron nor I have texting on our cell phones, so we were suprised by Ben's pretend cell phone cababilities.
Glad to hear Bram is sleeping more.

I love this update. It's great to hear how both boys are doing well and I'm glad you're starting to get some sleep too. We're going to be in Cambridge this weekend and I was thinking of setting up a visit but right now both of our kids have coughs and super-runny noses so it probably isn't the best time. I'll call you if they're cleared up by the time we get there.
