Happy 3rd Bloggiversary to Me!

So yeah, it has been exactly three years since I started blogging. What is most noticeable to me over the course of the three years is the steady decline in 1) how often I blog, and 2) the variety of topics. Life is so busy now that the best I can do is the occasional "here's the latest event of my child's life during which I took photographs and here are a few things I can quickly say about that." Fortunately, I get lots of feedback that lets me know you (or the majority of my readers) appreciate that sort of blog. Thanks! I'm glad.

I am still reading various books about "child development, marriage and Christian spirituality" as my blog description suggests, and I have great intentions and ideas for blogging about them; but alas, I cannot find the time to do so. Some would say I do not make the time. And no, I don't do that either. But, for example, I think actually spending time playing with my child is a priority over writing about my opinions on parenting. And same for marriage - better to spend time with my spouse than to spend time sitting at my computer writing about the latest book I read on marriage, as he sits several feet away, typing on his computer. Perhaps when I'm off work, taking care of Jonah and the new baby, I'll have more time for the blogging I would like to get back to? :o)

[Side note: Right now I'm reading my brother-in-law's copy of Mystery of Marriage by Mike Mason and it's absolutely brilliant. I recommend it.]
