More pics of baby#2
You may recall that my first ultrasound of baby#2 wasn't quite thorough enough. They didn't get a good look at the baby's face or heart. So at 26 weeks we had another. In the following pics you can see 1) baby's profile 2) baby's face 3) baby's face 4) baby's foot and 5) another profile. It was amazing to me how much the baby changed in the 7 weeks between ultrasounds. Baby was even cuter!

It sure has been a long time since I have blogged! Yeah, sorry about that, but life is just way too busy! I am still hoping to put up some pics of our 10th anniversary trip to CA. It was such a great week. I long to have it back!
Pregnancy has been going well. I'm at the 29 week mark now - that means only 9 to 13 weeks left! That sure feels like a long time though. This belly is heavy! Back pain is my main complaint. Also, I had slightly elevated levels of sugar from my initial glucose tolerance test. This means I get to fast for the next 12 hours, then drink a gross orange flavored carbonated beverage and then have my blood drawn every hour for 3 hours. Good times! During my pregnancy with Jonah a similar thing happened and I had to be really careful about sugar in order to avoid gestational diabetes.
Anyway, because of this I'm expecting another large baby (Jonah was 9lb3oz). Oh and did I mention this second child will likely have a head circumference as big as Jonah's according to ultrasound results? Should be fun. Jonah was breech. I'm trying to avoid a c-section this time. Big head.... Good! Big brain! Prayers please!
Despite the fact that I'm getting rather uncomfortable, I'm still getting lots of compliments. I've heard all of these several times a week for weeks now...
"You look great"
"You have such a cute baby bump"
"You are ALL baby"
"I just love your belly"
"I just can't get over it. You don't look pregnant at all from behind!"
Since I'm carrying so low, as I did with Jonah (but am bigger than I was with Jonah at this point), I'm also getting the constant irritating comments like...
"You're not due until August 28th? Really?!?!?!?"
"That baby has dropped! It won't be long now!"
"You're carrying LOW - must be a boy!"
"You're carrying LOW - must be a girl!"
"You'll definitely have the baby early" (Jonah, who, again, was LOW, was 10 days overdue, then induced, then discovered to be breech)
And because of the due date being late summer, I'm getting lots of questions about how I'm handling the heat and comments about how brutal it's going to be for me to get through the entire summer! Thanks for the encouragement folks! I'm more concerned about how my back is going to handle the constant increase in size and weight of my belly! The physical demands of work are not helping, but I have understanding co-workers who are doing a little extra here and there to help me out. I'm very grateful! I'm hoping to work until August 15th but we'll see how I cope in the coming weeks. Moving July 5th and having to clean, unpack, etc, will be challenging too! Definitely want to be settled before the baby arrives!
It the last couple of weeks I started to be able to feel baby parts sticking out. Now I'm getting those random cool bumps on various parts of my belly and my belly contorts into funny shapes. Jonah gets a kick out of pushing on the baby (foot?) and seeing it disappear.
Anyway, I really don't have time to blog, so I must stop here!

I can't even believe how clear and vivid ultrasounds are now. your baby is absolutely PRECIOUS.
How amazing is it that you get a sneak peek at your baby before he? she? makes their debut into the world!!!!
I'll be praying that your back stays strong & everything goes smoothly for you, Sherri!!! Don't work too hard!!! :]

Amazing pictures! I'm praying for continued health for you as you head into the final stretch. I really hope you're able to avoid the c-section too. I was concerned about the heat last summer but it ended up not being an issue when I spent the summer in the hospital. I would have preferred to deal with the heat!
You've got a busy couple of months ahead of you. I hope everything goes well.

Okay, so when you were pregnant with Jonah, we were at Scott & Amelia's to preview the DVD and I told you my mom was in town helping me pack to move back here. I have never forgotten your reply, said with the most puppy dog eyes ever, "I wish somebody would come help ME pack..." And here you are, pregnant and moving again... What timing you have! ;-) Just kidding! I know you're already getting settled in to the new place now, and I hope it's fantastic. Hopefully you had a bit more help with the packing this time around! :-)
