Three year portraits

Since my brother has such a good camera, we decided that he should be able to get at least one good shot of Jonah that could be his 3-year portrait. We got a few good ones! Here are some of my favorites...

Initially we started in the backyard and it wasn't an ideal location. By the time we moved, Jonah had already started to burn out. Yes, he melted down and I really wasn't sure what to do. Quit and give him a break, or persist?

We decided to proceed. I gave him a pep talk and somehow managed to pull him out of his slump.

And then we got some great pictures! They were all taken up and across the street on the property of strangers.

(I LOVE the hair. Bad news - I cut it all off this week!)

This one is possibly my most favorite because it captures Jonah's curiosity. Here he is carefully looking into the lens of the camera, watching the shutter open and close.

Thanks Uncle Mark! Great stuff!!!

While on the way to drop Glenn off at the
Buffalo airport, we went to Niagara Falls!

Taken at Zen Gardens - out for a Mother's Day lunch celebration

Jonah wanted to do a "hockey pose" for Grandma's camera
In Canada there are two seasons - hockey and road/ball hockey

Jonah is drawing hilarious pictures of people now. This is one he drew (on his chalkboard) of our friend Kalyn before we picked her up for church one Sunday morning. I took a picture of one he drew of Daddy this week but haven't yet downloaded it. It's great. Glenn has a billion arms and legs and strands of hair.

Happy Anniversary!

As of tomorrow, Glenn and I have been married for NINE years! I KNOW what you're thinking...

"Sherri, there's NO WAY you've beene married nine years! You look like you're still 23 years old!"

I know, I know, it's true. I do. But anyway, I thought I should take a few moments to honour my man.

Here are the top 3 things I appreciate most about him these days...
1) His willingness to listen to me
2) His strong desire to be a good and committed husband and father
3) That irresistable bod he's still working on for me! He really is maxing out in this department these days

If only he were home a little more for me to admire it...

I LOVE YOU TONS babe, and I'm proud of you!
